Today, there are many choices of quail incubators for you to choose from, depending on your budget, preference and needs. One can even purchase the incubators online which makes quail eggs hatching so easy and lucrative. These quail incubators come in different sizes and cost with varying added features. There are many online companies which will offer more services and discounts to get your business.  A good quail incubator must have sufficient holes for good air circulation inside. If it has an external fan or ventilator, or allows the eggs to turn automatically with a good control over the humidity and temperature, that is a better choice. Good quail incubators should also have an alarm for warning you of bad parameters set. 

Location of quail incubators

The incubator should be placed at a strategic and favorable location where the temperature is constant at 70 degrees to 80 degrees Fahrenheit away from direct sunlight. These favorable conditions are conducive for the healthy hatching of the quail eggs. Do not place any incubator in window seals or where direct sunlight and drafts can alter the set conditions. 

The level of humidity in quail incubators is crucial for the hatching; however, as different quail species require different humidity levels, it is advisable to determine the exact humidity level for your preferred species. Most incubators come with two water trays but the humidity is dependent on the amount of exposure the water is subjected to. Hence, the humidity in the incubator should be monitored by re-filling the tray(s) when necessary. All these settings are crucial to the successful hatching of quail eggs; one must ensure that these settings are adhered to before getting the eggs. The incubator should be tested adequately to get the settings right in order to increase the success rate of hatching. A trial run of half day or more on the incubator is recommended before putting in the eggs. Do have your other tools as well as thermometers ready for humidity readings. Have your eggs stored a little while at room temperature before putting them into quail incubators.
